Michelle MacWilliam is the director of Retail Selling Ltd. A company that specialises in building long-term customer relationships. The Michelle-Mac brand is the strategist division of Retail Selling Ltd.
As an acknowledged award finalist for this specialist type of work in strategy development. Michelle Mac offers a targeted consultancy business that provides a focused strategy for companies who need to either, solve an issue or seize an opportunity with an expanded sector lens. Or, those who require a fresh set of eyes and out-of-the-box thinking with a mindset for success.
She is an acknowledged SME specialist (small to medium business) for enterprises where one person is required to wear several hats and work at many levels within the business structure.
Michelle was originally engaged in the family business. Which had manufacturing, wholesaling and retailing sections, for over two decades. This was the university of hands-on practical experience where errors had real implications. With this unique insight and knowledge of all aspects of a business structure, Michelle now shares with her clients. Combining her experience with the last decade of being an independent business consultant. Extreme and unexpected changes in the Canterbury region of New Zealand provides Michelle with a unique skillset in her business repertoire to support her clients. Including the acceleration of the digitally interconnected world.
Michelle also has a passion for creating sustainable boards that assist a business to evolve and grow to a sustainable level and profitability. To this end, she works closely with Livingstone Board Services.
She also has developed a stable of credible business professionals to support the clients of Michelle Mac. As it is recognised that no one person or entity can supply all the answers for a business seeking solutions in the modern digitally interconnected era of the 21st Century.
During the Global Pandemic 2020-2022, Michelle Mac worked with government agencies to support SME businesses.
The Government has provided New Zealand Trade & Enterprise (NZTE) with additional funding for Kiwi businesses impacted by COVID-19. Companies can apply for up to $5,000 in funding to access business advisors that can provide advice and expertise in the following areas:
- Finance and cashflow management
- Business continuity planning
- HR
- Health and wellness
RBP COVID-19 Support Programme
Retail Selling Ltd trading as Michelle Mac was proud to have been approved as a provider for the Regional Business Partner Network (RBP) COVID-19 Support programme. This programme is an extension of their existing Growth Advisor service. As a response to the economic repercussions of Covid-19, this is being used to deliver government-paid assistance to small businesses and will be the recipient of much of the additional government funding for business advice.

One-to-one support and training on developing an omnichannel with bricks and mortar store. Working in sync with online to develop sustainable cash flow.
Aligning the needs of the business and prioritising what needs to be achieved first. In alignment with the long-term goals of the business owner.
The business owner will have both an understanding and strategy to develop an omnichannel.
Time constraint is dependent on the business owner who has the flexibility to work with them as they move through challenging times.
Also, provide support service to husband and wife teams or couples where business life is now impacting home life as a softcore strategist.
Pricing
Based on an hourly rate of $220.00 per hour plus GST.
This was a contract that ended when the government funding ceased for this need.
